AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 82-39, RELATING TO THE 74TH AVENUE
STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (LID 127); CHANGING THE DATES FOR THE SOLICITATION
OF BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council finds it necessary to change the date for
solicitation and opening of bids for the construction of 74th Avenue - Street
Improvement District (LID 1127).
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 82-39 of the City of Tigard is hereby amended
by changing the dates for the solicitation of bids and opening of bids for the
construction. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 82-39 is now ordained to read as
follows:
"Section 3: That the City Administrator and the City Engineer be,
and they are hereby, directed immediately to invite proposals for
the construction of said improvements by publication in the Tigard
Times one time not less than ten (10) days prior to the bid
opening date, which date shall be August 16, 1982 at 2:30 P.M.,
which date and time is hereby designated for the opening of bids
in the City of Tigard, Oregon, City Hall, 12755 SW Ash Avenue, all
proposals to be then and there publicly read."
Section 2: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the peace, health, and safety of
the people of Tigard that the improvements within the 74th Avenue - Street
Improvement District (LID 1127) be constructed with the least possible delay,
and that the financing be accomplished at the least expensive inconvenience
possible, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall
become effective upon its passage by the Council and signature of the Mayor.
PASSED: By the Council, by Irlul vote of all Council
members present, after being read two times by number and title
