AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.28 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 10.28.130(43) TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON A PORTION OF SW GAARDE STREET,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 10.28.130 (43) of the Tigard Municipal Code, relating
to locations where parking is prohibited at any time, be, and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"10.28.130 Prohibited at any time. No person shall at any time
park or leave sanding a vehicle of any kind or character, whether
motorized or not, and whether attended to unattended, within the
following defined portions of public streets and highways within
the City"
"(43) Within the right-of-way of SW Gaarde Street, extending from
the intersection thereof with SW Pacific highway (99W) westerly
approximately one thousand two hundred feet to the intersection
thereof with the west right-of-way boundary line of SW 112th
Avenue, excepting therefrom that area within the right-of-way
of SW Gaarde Street, extending from the intersection thereof with
the east right-of--way line of SW 110th Avenue, east along the
north side of SW Gaarde Street, to a point 480 feet west
of the intersection thereof with the west right-of-way line of SW
Pacific Highway (99W)."
Section,2: That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause to have the areas, as above set forth, suitably posed
in the manner provided by law.
Section 3: Inasmuch as this ordinance is necessary to protect the health, safety
and general welfare of the public an Iemergency is recognized to exist and
is hereby declared and this,ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage and approval by the City Council.
PASSED: By the City Council by vote of all Council members present,
after :being read two times by number and title only, this day
