CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
ORDINANCE NO. 81-65
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.08.030 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO TAXICABS.
It has been called to the attention of the City Council that
subparagraph (3) of Section 5.08.030 of the Tigard Municipal Code
is ambiguous, and should be amended to correct the ambiguity. The
section now reads as follows:
" (Any permit issued for the conduct of a taxicab business
*** may be cancelled *** for any of the following causes:
***)
(3) Knowingly employing a person of ill repute or
disrepute, or of known criminal propensities, although
he is under suspension of his driver's credentials by
the State of Oregon for any reason. "
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Tigard does ordain as follows:
1. Section 5.08 .030 Permit--Cancellation--Notice--Hearing
Required is amended by replacing subparagraph (3) with the following
new subparagraph (3) :
"(3) Knowingly employing a person who has been convicted
.' of a felony or of any crime concerning which the use of
.p a firearm is an element (excepting only game law violations)
' or knowingly employing any person whose driving privileges
are suspended by the State of Oregon for any reason."
2. This ordinance shall take effect on the 31st day following
its passage and signature.
