AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 81-08, RELATING TO THE SW HAMPTON
STREET STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; CORRECTING A TYPOGRAPHICAL
ERROR; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of February, 1981 the City Council
of the City of Tigard passed Ordinance No. 81-08 confirming and
.ratifying its previous resolutions relating to the SW Hampton Street
Street Improvement District; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 81-08 contained an error in Section 5,
which mistakenly referred to the "Walnut Street Local Improvement
District" rather than the "Hampton Street Street Improvement
District"; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to correct that error in order
to be certain that financing for the improvements within the
district may be arranged,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Ordinance No. 81-08 of the City of Tigard is hereby
amended by replacing the words "Walnut Street Local
Improvement District" with the words"Hampton Street Street °
Improvement District. " , Section 5 of Ordinance No. 81-08 is now
ordained to read as follows:
Section 5: The Tigard City Council finds
that the Hampton Street Street Improvement District
improvements are of the character described in
ORS 223.205, and that they therefore qualify for
financing by general obligation improvement war-
rants pursuant to ORS 287.502 - 287.510.

Section 2: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the peace, health, and
safety of the people of the City of Tigard that the
improvements within the SW Hampton Street Street Improvement District
be constructed with the least possible delay, and that their
financing be accomplished at the least expensive inconvenience
possible, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this a
ordinance shall become effective upon its passage by the Council F
and signature by the Mayor.
