ORDINANCE No. 78-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 16, SIGN REGULATIONS OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL
CODE, BY REMOVING THE MAP REQUIREMENT FOR POLITICAL SIGNS 16.40.010
(b) (4) , FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. y
f.v THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 16.40.010 (b) of the Tigard Municipal Code, re- a
lating to political signs, be, and the same is hereby amended
by deleting the second sentence in paragraph (4) of said section re-
moving the requirement for a map to be filed showing locations of x
political signs in the City. Subparagraph (4) is amended to read as L
follows:

"(4) Any person intending to place such signs shall, prior .
to placing any sign, execute a removal agreement covering
' these provisions and shall file a one-hundred-dollar bond
or one hundred dollars in cash with an agreement acceptable
to the city attorney, refund conditioned upon guaranteeing
removal of the signs within the time specified."
Section 2: It is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that it is
necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health,
and safety of the City of Tigard, Oregon, that the foregoing change
become a permanent part of the City's records , and this ordinance shall
be effective upon its passage by the Council, and approval by the Mayor. k
