ORDINANCE No. 78 31
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 10.28 OF TRE TIGARD
MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO SECTION 10.28. 130 TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON SW
BURNHAM STREET SOUTHERLY FROM SW MAIN STREET, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

THE CITE' OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 10.28. 130 of the Tigard Municipal Code, relating
to locations where parking is prohibited at any time, be, and
the same is hereby amended and supplemented to add thereto a new sub-
section reading as follows:

"10.28. 130 Prohibited at any time. No person shall at any
time park or leave standing a vehicle of any kind or character, s
whether motorized or not, and whether attended or unattended, within
the following defined portions of public streets and highways within
the city:
( ) within the right-of-way of SW Burnham Street, from

SW Main Street to SW Hall Boulevard; excepting that portion ,
within the northeasterly half of SW Burnham Street beginning F'
at a point 15 feet southeasterly of the intersection of the
northeasterly line of SW Burnham Street with the southeasterly
line of SW Main Street and extending, therefrom,southeasterly `
45 feet, said portion of SW Burnham Street being hereby
designated as a loading zone between the hours of 8:00 A.M.
to 12:00 Noon, Sundays and Holidays excluded.
Section 2: That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause to have the areas in which parking is pro-
hibited as above set forth suitably posted in the manner provided by law.
Section 3: Inasmuch as this parking prohibition is necessary to protect the
health, safety and general welfare of the public and in par-
ticular pedestrians on said street an emergency is recognized to existand
is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
=; upon passage and approval by the City Council.
