Ordinance No. 77-77 _ J0 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE NO. 77- -77^ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 10.28 OF THE TI- GARD MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO SECTION 10.28, 130 TO PROHIBIT PARK- ING ON A PORTION OF S.W. SCOFFINS STREET, SOUTHEASTERLY OF S .W. MAIN STREET, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Section 10.28.130 of the Tigard Municipal Code, re- lating to locations where parking is prohibited at any time, be, and the same is hereby amended and supplemented to add thereto a new subsection reading as follows: 1110.28. 130 Prohibited at any time . No person shall at any time park or leave standing a vehicle of any kind or character, whether motorized or not, and whether attended or unattended, within the following defined portions of pub- lic streets and highways within the city: ( ) Within the right-of-way of S .W. Scoffins Street extending from the intersection thereof with S.W. Main Street , southeasterly, to S.W. Hall Blvd. 's Section 2: That the City Administrator be and he is hereby author- ized and directed to cause to have the areas in which parking is prohibited as above set forth suitably posted in the man- ner provided by law. Section 3 Inasmuch as this parking prohibition is necessary to pro- tect the health, safety, and general welfare of the pub- lie and in particular pedestrians on said street, an emergency is recognized to exist and is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the City Council.
