Ordinance No. 76-35 i -A: CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No. 76- 1j~ AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF CERTAIN ROADWAYS, HEREIN SPECIFIED, IN THE i CITY OF TIGARD, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. E F THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council finds that pursuant to § 227.120 O.R.S. the City Planning Commission has submitted a recommendation to the Council to rename existing dedicated roadways, within the City of Tigard, as specified j in the attached Exhibit "A", said roadways not being county roads or state highways. r, Section 2: The City Council finds that changing names of said roadways will bring the existing names into conformance with City street name policy and will alleviate conflict in existing documentation of said roadway names. t Section 3: The Council further finds that a hearing on said proposal to rename said public ways was held on August 23, 1976, at 8:00 P.M. and that the notice of said hearing was given by publication in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Tigard within the week prior to the week of said hearing, and that said hearing was duly and regularly held by the Council at the time and place as publicized, whereat all persons particularly interested and the general public were afforded an opportunity to be heard with respect to said proposal; and the Council further finds that it is in the public interest and in the best interests of the City and the six mile area of the limits:of the City that the said proposal be adopted. Section 4: That the dedicated public ways described in the attached Exhibit 11A" be, and the same are, hereby renamed as specified. Section 5: That .:the City Recorder shall forthwith file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Department of Records and Elections of Washington County, and alike copy with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation, and Department of Public Works (County Surveyor). Section 6: That this ordinance shall be effective on and after the 31st day after its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor. PASSED. Fir Street; as shown on the recorded plat Rolling Hills in plat book 18 on page 43 in Washington County, Oregon. (2) S.W. Cherry Street (old name) - S.W. Cherry Drive (new name) - being that portion thereof lying South of S.W. Fir Street and running Southerly and Easterly therefrom to S.W. 72nd Avenue; as shown on the recorded plat Rolling Hills Plat 2 in plat book 21 on page 46 in Washington County, Oregon. (3) S.W. Watkins Avenue (old name) - S.W. Brookside Avenue (new name) - being f that portion thereof lying Northeast of S.W. Walnut Street and running Northeasterly 471 feet, more or less, therefrom; as shown on the recorded plat Walnut Acres in plat book 23 on page 6 Washington County, Oregon. (4) S.W. Watkins Court (old name) - S.W. Brookside Court (new name) - being that portion thereof lying Northwest of S.W. Watkins Avenue and running f Northwesterly 206 feet, more or less, therefrom; as shown on the recorded plat Walnut Acres in plat book 23 on page 6 in Washington County, Oregon. E (5) S.W.
