ORDINANCE No. 75-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.28, OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO
SECTION 10.28.130(13) TO PERMIT PARKING ON A PORTION OF S. W. WALNUT STREET, LYING
SOUTHEASTERLY OF S. W. GRANT AVENUE, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 10.28.130(13) of the Tigard Municipal Code, relaLiug to
locations where parking is prohibited at any time, be, and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"10.28.130 Prohibited at any time. No person shall at any time park or
leave standing a vehicle of any kind or character, whether motorized or not,
and whether attended or unattended, within the following defined portions of
public streets and highways within the city:
11(13) Within the right-of-way of S. W. Walnut Street, extending from
the intersection thereof with S. W. Pacific Highway (99-W) northwesterly
approximately one thousand nine hundred twenty-two and forty-four hundredths ;
feet to the city limits as the same exists on September 28, 1971; EXCEPT that
there is authorized and designated as an unrestricted (time) vehicular parking
area, along the southwest curb of S. W. Walnut Street, two spaces, parallel
with but not within the southeasterly lanes of travel, commencing at a point
which lies one hundred ninty-two feet southeasterly of the southeast right-of-
way line of forty foot wide S. W. Grant Avenue and extending, thence, south-
easterly forty-two feet to a terminus point; the boundaries of said spaces
being delineated by painted markings."
Section 2: That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to cause to have the areas, as above set forth, suitably posted in the
manner provided by law.
Section 3: Inasmuch as this ordinance is necessary to protect the health, safety
and general welfare of the public an emergency is recognized to exist
and is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage and approval by the City Council.
PASSED: By the City Council by ajZS vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by number and title only, this
