ORDINANCE NO. 75 -1_
1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16.12.030 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL
CODA.ESTABLISHING FEES FOR SIGN PERMITS, FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 16.12.030 of the Tigard Municipal Code
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 16.12.030 Fees. Each applicant for a sign
permit as a con 1tion precedent to the grant-
ing of such permit shall pay to the City with
respect to the proposed construction, altera-
tion or relocation of a sign for which a permit
is required as follows:
Area of Sign. Permit Fee
0-25 square feet $ 10.00
25-100 square feet $ 25.00
100 square feet or more $ 25.00 plus $10.00
for each added 100
sq. ft. or fraction
thereof to a maximum
of $100.00
ix Repair Permit and Fee. Whenever it is proposed
to remove a sign from its supporting struc-
ture for the purpose of repair and mainten-
ance, an application for repair permit shall
be filed with the building official in pres-
t cribed form and the building official shall
refuse to issue such permit if the applica-
tion pertains to the construction, structural
alteration orrelocationof any non-conforming
sign. As a condition precedent to the issu-
ance of such permit, the applicant shall tender
therewith the sum of $5.00 as a permit fee
which shall be refunded in the event that the
permit be not issued.
Section 2: Inasmuch as it is necessary that the fees and condi-
tions under which sign permits may be issued be
currently reflected 3.n the provisions of the Tigard Municipal '
x' Code in order that proper sign control may be maintained, it t
is hereby declared to be necessary for the peace, health and
safety of the people of the City of Tigard that this ordinance
become effective with the least possible delay, and this ordinance 5
