121 ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14.12 (PLUMBING CODE) OF THE
TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE AS HERETOFORE AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO.
74-53, ADOPTING THE OREGON STATE PLUMBING SPECIALTY CODE
AND THE ADMINISTRATIVE RULES FOR THE OREGON STATE PLUMBING
SPECIALTY CODE AS PROMULGATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE,
BUILDINGS CODE DIVISION, OF THE STATE OF OREGON, THEREBY SUPER-
SEDING AND REPLACING THE PRE-EXISTING OREGON STATE PLUMBING
CODE AND ALL LOCAL PLUMBING CODES EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1975;
PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS 1'IILLVI9G.
Section 1: That Section 14.12.010 of the Tigard Municipal Code
as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 74-53
adopted by the Council on the 23rd of September, 1974, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"14.12.010 State Statutes Oregon State Plumbing
Specialty Codeand A inistrative Regu at..ons--
Adopted. ORS 44/.UIU to T47.140 now in etrect
or as may hereafter be amended and the Oregon
State Plumbing Specialty Code, as prescribed by the
Department of Commerce, and the Administrative Mules
for the Oregon State Plumbing Specialty Code, as
adopted on January 6, 1975, by the Director of
Commerce of the State of Oregon, all with respect
to the standards and regulations of plumbing
facilities within the State of Oregon are adopted
as the 'Plumbing Code of the City of Tigard' and
shall have the same force and effect as though here-
in recited in full, and three copies of said Code
and the said regulations issued with respect thereto
shall be maintained at all times in the Office of
the City Recorder and one copy in the Office of the
Building Official."
Section 2: That inasmuch as pursuant to ORS 447.010 and 447.020,
the Department of Commerce, through its Director,
of the State of Oregon has heretofore on January 6, 1975, acting
pursuant to statutory authority, adopted a new state-wide Oregon
Plumbing Specialty Code and Administrative Rules for the Oregon
State Plumbing Code as the Uniform Plumbing Code of Oregon hav-
ing uniform application throughout the State of Oregon, including
the City of Tigard, to be effective February 1, 1975, it is neces-
sary for the peace, health and safety of the people of the City
of Tigard that this Ordinancebecome effective on February 1, 1975,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall
be effective on and after February 1, 1975, upon its passage
by the Council and approval by the Mayor.

members present, after being read three times by
number and title only, this,s day of January, 1975.
