AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.04.030 (c) of the TICARD
(
MUNICIPAL CADS PROVI,0ING FOR A PRORATION OFBUSINESS LICEN3H
FEES.-PLESCRIBING EFFECTIVE DATE MW DEC.I.ANING AN EMERGENCY
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 5.04.030 (c) of the Tigard Municipal Code
b%and the same, is hereby amended to react as follows:
"' 04030 (Cl. License fees herein required shall be due
and payable on July lot of each year for the ensuing fiscal
year and *ball be delinquent on and after August let of
each year.
For any such trade, shop, business, occupation, or pro-
fession beginning operation or conduct of any ausiness
within the City of Tigard on and after October 1 of
each license year, such business shall pay a sum equal
to 75 per cent (75%) of the annual license fee. if
such beginning occurs on and after January 1 of each
license year, such business shall pay a sum equal to
fifty per cent (50%) of the annual license fee. If
such beginning operation occurs on and after April 1
of each license year, such business shall pay a sum
equal to twenty five per cent (25%) of the annual
license fee.
Section 21 Inassmahraas it is necessary for the peace, health;
and safety of the people of the City of Tigard that
3 the sources and rates of revenue from business
license fees be maintained on a current basis,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
