THE CITY OI' TIGARD AS DESCRIBED IN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, by resolution of the City Council of Tigard of
February 8, 1971, Washington County was requested to transfer juris-
diction of certain county roads or parts thereof within the City of
Tigard to the City; and
WHEREAS, proceedings were thereafter conducted by Washington
County; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tigard, on the -2 day
of iaX. , 1972, by resolution, accepted jurisdiction W said
county roads or parts thereof and It is the purpose of the Council
hereby to establish a permanent record of the acquisition of juris-
diction of said roads in accordance with applicable. statutes;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
a Section 1: Pursuant to Section 373.270(5), Oreton Revised Stat-
utes, all proceedings for the transfer of those cer-
tain county roads or parts thereof as described on the attached
Schedule "A", being a list of the public ways so transferred, and
the responsibility therefor fron, Washington County to the City of
Tigard heretofore conducted by the City of Tigard, including the
resolution adopted by the Council at its regular meeting of February
8, 1971, accepting the transfer of certain county roads
a
dor parts
hereof, be and the same are hereby ratified and confirmed,
City does hereby confirm by this ordinance that the jurisdiction
thereon" be, and the same is, hereby declared to be in the City of
Tigard in all respects.
Section 2: That a certified copy of this ordinance shall be for-
warded forthwith by the City Recorder to the Board of
Commissioners of Washington County, Oregon, and a copy thereof placed
in the permanent road records of the City of Tigard to thereby record
in perpetuity the jurisdiction of the City of Tigard with respect to
certain, roads or parts thereof described on the attached Schedule "A".,
Section 3 Inasmuch as it is necessary for the peace, health and
safety of the City of Tigard that a permanent record
of the matters hereinabove set forth be established among the ordi
nances of the City of Tigard without delay, an emergency is her;.oy
declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective upon
its passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
