AN ORDINANCE AMENDING O dinance No.70-41 -"MOTOR VEHICLE CODE
OF 1970 OF THE CITY OF TIGARD"'; - WITH RESPECT TO Sections 23 and 24
of CHAPTER VIII THEREOF, AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE Sections 646.560
and 646.990 ORS, AND PRESCRIBING EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE.CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 23 of Chapter VIIlof Ordinance No. 70-41,
z "Motor Vehicle Code of 1970 of the City of Tigard", be,
and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 2: That Section 24, Chapter VIII, of Ordinance No. 70-41,
"Motor Vehicle Code of 1970 of the City of Tigard", be,
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 24: Tampering with Odometers Prohibited _ Penal .
"Any person found guilty of violation of the
provisions of Section 646.060 ORS shall be
subject to the penalties prescribed by See-
tion 646.999 URS, and said sections are by
v,. reference herein made apart hereof."
Section 3: This ordinance shall become effective on and after the
-' 31st day after its passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
