AN ORDINANCE AIENDING SECTION 5(B) of ORDINANCE, NO. 71-1 (Dog
Control Ordinance) INCREASING THE DOG LICENSE FEE FROM $il.00
TO $5,00, PRESCRIBING Ail EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING Ail EMERUNCY
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section l: That Section 5 (B) of Ordinance No. 7�-1 enacted
by the City Council of the City of Tigard on
January 11, 1971, be, and the same is hereby amended, to read
as fullows:
Section S. Licensing of Dogs.
B. A dog license fee of $5.00 shall be
charged for each dog. This fee is due and pay-
able on application for a dog license. The license
fee shall not be pro-rated for any part of any
calendar year; provided, however, that any dog
owned and used by a blind person is exempt from the
license fee while so owned and used, but is not exempt
from being licensed or from any required rabies in-
noculation, n
Section 2: 'That inasmunh as pursuant to the terms of Ordinance
No. 71--1, the City of Tigard has heretofore executed
an agreement with Washin6ton CozintY, Oregon, providing for tiie
performance of certain dog control services by Washington County,
Oregon, in behalf of the City, by the terms of Which it is required
that the City enact and/or amend its dog control ordinances from
time to time as necessary to keap the same consistent with the
County's dog control ordinances, and it is necessary for the health,'
peace and safety of the people of the City of Tigard that there be

declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect upon its
pasaage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
