AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ORDINANCE No.70-41,
"MOTOR VEHICLE CODE OF 1970", Section 483.0113(T) THEREOF, DY ADDING
THERETO A SUBSECTION DESIGNATED 11483.043(T)(1)--One-rray Streeta", AND
THEREUNDER DESIGNATING S. W. 14ciiENZIE STREET AS A ONE-'WAY STREET, AND
FIXING EFFECTIVE DATE. _
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Phe City Council finds that S.W. McKenzie Street from the
intersection thereof with S. W. Pacific HIShway to the
intersection thereof with S. W. Grant Avenue is a duly platted and ded-
icated public way in the City of Tigard and that said street throughout
the exDanse thereof is not under the ,jurisdiction of the State Highway
Commission or of Washington County, and that pursuant to 5483.043 ORS
the City of Tigard may properly designate said street as a one-way street.
Section That Section 483.043(T) of the :•Iotor Vehicle Code of 1.970
of the City of Tigard, be, and the same is, hereby amended
and supplemented to add thereto a subsection designace3. 1S483.043(T)(1) --
One-way Streets", reading as follows:
111183.043(T)(1) -- One-waIL Streets:
The following name streets, or the portions herein-
after described, within the CIty of Tir-,ard are
hereby designated as one-way streets upon which
vehicular traffic shall be permitted to move in one
direction only as hereinafter authorized:
(a) S. W. McKenzie Street from the intersection
thereof with the Westerly right-of-way line of
S. W. Pacific Highway to the intersection
thereof with the Easterly right-of-way line of
S. W. Grant Avenue, upon which vehicular traffic
is hereby authoriz3d and permitted to move only
in a Northwesterly direction away from S.W.
Pacific Highway and toward S. W. Grant Street."
Section 3: The City Administrator be, and he is hereby, authorizedand
directed to cause to have placed such signs and markers as
may be reasonably necessary to give notice to the travelling public of
the limitations of said street to one-way traffic, prior to the e1'fect-
ave date of this ordinance.
Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective on and after the 31st day
after its passage by the Council and approval of the MayUr•
