Ordinance No. 70-30 CITY OF `.CIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No.70- 30 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13 OF ORDINANCE No.69-74 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOUNDING AND DISPOSITION OF ABANDONED VEHICLES", PRESCRIBING AN INCREASED DAILY STORAGE CHARGE, AND DECLAR- ING AN EMERGENCY. THE; CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Section 13 of Ordinance No.69-74 adopted by the City Council on October 27, 1969, be, and the same is hereby, arended to read as follows: "Section 13: Charges: in the enforcement and execution of the provisions of this ordinance, the chief of police shall charge and collect $20.00 for towing and $1.50 per day for storage." Section 2:. Inasmuch as theCity is unable to provide storage for aban- doned vehicles at the rate of $1.00 per day heretofore in effect, and the City has no funds wherewith to pay the increase in storage charges, it is necessary for the peace,health and safety of the people of the City of Tigard and the economic stability of the city government, that the increased storage rate become effective without delay, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
