Ordinance No. 70-18 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No.70-_11 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING SECTION 483.204-T OF CHAPTER IV, ORDINANCE No.66-20 "MOTOR VEHICLE CODE OF THE CITY OF TIGARD", AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, BY ADDING THERETO SUB-SECTION (7) DESIGNATING "THROUGH" STREETS AND REQUIRING COMPLIANCE WITH TRAFFIC SIGNS AND OTHER CONTROL MEDIA, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES AND EFFECTIVE DATE. THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Section 483.204-T of Chapter Iv, Ordinance No. 66-20 "Motor Vehicle Cooe of the City of Tigard", as heretofore amended, be, and the same is hereby, amendad and supplemented by add- ing thereto Sub-section (7), reading as follows: "§483.204-T (7): The following streets, public ways, county roads and state highways, with respect to all or those portions thereof within the corporate limits of the City of Tigard, are hereby designated as "through" streets, and all traffic shall come to a full stop be- fore entering said stroets, except at those entry points where entering traffic is required to yield only pursuant to duly authorized "yield right of way" signs, and further provided that entering traffic shall obey traffic lights, police officers, or other duly authorized traffic control media: S. SHADY LANE S. W. COMMERCIAL STREET S. W. TIEDEMANN AVENUE S. W. DURHAM ROAD S. W. TIGARD STREET S. W. FONNER STREET S. W. UPPER BOONES FERRY ROAD S. W. FREWING STREET S. W. WALNUT STREET S. W. GAARDE STREET S. W. WATKINS AVENUE S. W. GARRETT STREET S. W. 72nd AVENUE S. W. GREENBURG ROAD S. W. 95th AVENUE S. W. GRANT AVENUE S. W. 97th AVENUE S. W. HALL BLVD. S. W. 98th AVENUE S. W. PACIFIC HIGHWAY Section_ 2: That to the extent rot inconsistent with the jurisdiction of the State Highway Commission with respect to State High- ways and Washington County with respect to County Roads as,provided in §4183.204 O.R.S., the City. Administrator be, and he is hereby, directed to cause to haw placed "stop" Markers conforming to §483.204(4) O.R.S. in proper locations to notify drivers of vehicles to stop before Page ' Page 1 ORDINANCE No 1 entering the above designated through streets, and he shall further cause to have painted on the surface of the pavement a "stop" line in each of the subsidiary streets or entering streets to further notify drivers of vehicles of the designatwd stopping places. Section 3: The penalties applicable to §483.204 as set forth in §483.999-T of Chapter IV, Ordinance No.66-20, shall apply with respect to convicti'ns of violation of this ordinance. Section 4: This ordinance shall be and become effective on the 31st day after its passage by the Council and approviLl by the Mayor. PASSED: By unanimous vote of all Council members present, after being read three times by number and title only this 25th day of May, 1970.
