FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF;REPEALII`IG ORDINANCE No.

ATTHE CITY OF TIGAID ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the National :Electrical Code as set forth in the
Standard of the National Board of Fire Underwriters For
Electri.<;al Wiring and Apparatus, as approved by the American Stand-
ards Association from time to time, as and vahen promulvated by the ;
American Standards Association, be, and the same is hereby, adopted
as the "ELECTRICAL CODE OF THE CITY OF TIGARD", a copy of the cuecrent
edition thereof being hereto attached and by reference made a part
hereof to the same force and effect as though recited herein in fall,
and two additional copies thereof shall at all times be maintained in
the Office of, the City Recorder of Tigard for the use and examination
by the public pursuant to authority of §221.330 Oregon Revised Statutes.
Section 2: That §5479.510 to 479.840 Oregon REvised Statutes, cited
as the Elect:':ical Safety Law of the .State of Oregon, as
now enacted or as may hereafter be amended or supplemented by the
Legislative Assembly of the State of Oregon:, and the reculations law-
fully prescribed under authority and pursuant thereto with respect 'to
the matters covered thereby, are hereby adopted as the "Electrical
Safety Code of the City of Tigard" and shall have the same force and
effect as through herein set forth in full.
Section 3: No electrical work small be undertaken in the City of
Tigard, Oregon except in strict conformity with the
National Electrical Code as above herein further identified, and the
provisions of Chapter 4793 §§479.510 to 1170.850 Oregon Revised Statl)tes.
Section 4: PENALTIES: Any person found -uilty of violating any of
the provisions of this ordinance with respect to compli-
ance with the National Electrical Code as herein adopted shall : e
punished by a fine not exceeding $100, or by imprisonment in the City
or County .jail for not to exceed ten (10) days, or both.
Any person found guilty of violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance with respect to compliance with §§479.510 to 479.840
Oregon Revised Statutes, or the rules promulgated thereunder, shall
be subject to the penalties set forth in and provided by §479.990 ORS

section 5: That Ordinance No. b3-4 be, and the same is hereby,
repealed, effec4vve with the effective date of this
ordinance.
Section o': This Ordinance shall be effective an and after the 31st
day after final passage by the City Council and approval
by the Mayor.

beim read by number and title only, this 27th day of
