AN ORDINANCE A:"ENDING ORDINANCE No.66-20 ""MOTOR VEHICLE CODE
OF THE CITY OF TIGA^D" - BY ADDING THERETO NEW SECTIONS AND AMENDING
PRE-EXISTING SECTIONS TO BRING THE SAME INTO COTIFORfIITY WITH PERTINENT
I'ROVISIONS OF THE OREGON LAWS OF 1969 AS ENACTrFD BY THE 3.969 LEGISLA-
TIVE SESSION AND DECLARING AN ElIERGEMCY.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS F3:,LOWS:
Section 1: That by virtue of authority contained in §221.330 Oregon
Roviscd Statutes all those nertain sections of Chapters
164, 481 and 483 O.R.S. hereinafter in this ordinance listed by
section number and sub-section number with suffix (T) and titles, and
being section numbers identical to those of applicable sections of
Oregon Revised Statutes as amended, supplemented or originally enacted
by the Oregon Legislative Session of 1969, be, and each and all
thereof' are, hereby adopted by this reference section by sectior_,
paragraph by paragraph, word by word in the entirety in all respects,
to the same legal force and effect as if set forth herein in full.
Section 2: Each section or sub-section of Oregon Revised Statutes
hereinafter numbered and titled, when cited by the sec
tion number as identified in this ordinance together with suffix (T),
shall be referenced as a section or sub-section of the "Motor Vehicle
Code of the City of Tigard", and may be cited as such.
Section 3: Chapter IT (Chapter 481 ORS) - Motor Vehicle Licensing -
of Ordinance AIo.66-20 "Motor Vehicle Code of the City
of Tigard", be, and the sane is, hereby amended to add the folle;rinm:
Section 481.990(6)T: Registration and licensing;
as enacted by Chapter 147 Section 6, Oregon Laws of 1969.
Section 4: Chapter IV (Chapter 483 ORS) - ?Motor Vehicle Traffic and
Equipment - of Ordinance No.66-20 "Motor Vehicle Code
of the City of Tigard", be, and the same is, hereby amended as follows:
Section 483.116(T) is hereby amencled to conform to ORS 183.116
as amended by Chapter 402 O.L.1969.
:lection 483.202(T) is hereby amended to conform to ORS 483.202
as amended by See.l,Chapter 42.6 O.L.1969._
Section 483.206(I) is hereby amended to conform to 01.?S 483.206
as amended by Sections '2 and 3, Chapter
426, O.L. '1969.
Section 483.'108(T) is hereby amended to conform to 07S 483.308'
as amended by Chapter-215, O.L.1969.
Section 483.318(T) is hereby amended to conformto ORS 483.318
as amended by Chapter 114, O.L.1969.

Section 483.456(T) is hereby amended to conform to ORS 483.456
as amended by Chapter 278 O.L. 1969.
Section 483,538(T) is hereby amended to conform. to ORS 483,538
as amended by Chapter 425 O.L. 1969.
Section 483.634(T) is hereby amended to conform to ORS 483.634
as amonded by See.2, Chapter 579, O.L. 1969.
Section 5: Chapter IV (Chapter 483 ORS) - Motor Vehicle Traffic and
Equipment - of Ordinance No.6020 "[Motor Vehicle Code of
the City of Tigard", be, and the same is, hereby amended to add the
following:
Section 483.457(T): Slow-moving vehicle emblems
as amended by Chapter 32, Oregon Laws of 1969.
Section 6: Chapter IX - Additional Provisions - of Ordinance .do.66-20

same is, hereby amended to add the following new section numbered 26:

Legislature.
Section 7: Chapter IX - Additional Provisions - of Ordinance No.66-20
"Motor Vehicle Code of the City of Tigard", be, and the
same is, hereby amended to add the following new section numbered 27:
Section 27: Motor Vehicle Odometers -Section 1 of Chapter
395, Oregon Law, of 1.9b9, as enacted by the
1969 Legislature, be, and the same is, hereby
adopted.
Violation of Section 1 of Chapter 395 O.L,1969
is punishable by a One of not to exceed 0500.
or by imprisonment in the county jail for not
to exceed 30 days, or by both such fine and
imprisonment.
Section 8: Inasmuch as it is necessary for the peace, health and
safety of the people of the City of Tigard that the "Motor
Vehicle Code of the City of Tigard" be brought into conformity with
the pertinent provisions of Oregon Laws of 1969 as enacted by the 1969
Legislature, with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be effective upon its pass-
age by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
