AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD LANDS OF
Standard Investment Company, Inc. in Sec. 35, T1S, RlW, W.M.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described lands have
petitioned the City of Tigard to annex the same to the City, and
have filed consent to said annexation with the City Recorder under
date of the 21 day of o&. ob-r ._, 1968; and
WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described and prdposed to _be 6
annexed are contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Tigard
and are not within the corporate limits of any city and lie wholly
within the County of Washington, State of Oregon, and are, in all

Council of Tigard on the 26 day of October , 1968, the City
Council of Tigard did elect to dispense wit su m tting the annexa-
tion proposal to the registered voters of the City of Tigard, and

at the hour of 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall, Tigard, Oregon, as the
time and place for public hearing by the Council of said annexation
proposal, and
WHEREAS, said hearing of November 25, 1968 was duly
publicized by notice published oneel ®aL wee or two successive
weeks, or three publishings in all, to-wit.: On the 7th day of
November X68 and the 21st

circulat on an g+ ashed in the City of Tigard, Oregon; that an
affidavit of Qai.ci IMblication is on file herein and that notice of
said hearing was further given by posting in four public and conspic-
uous places within. the City of Tigard for a like period and that the
affidavit of the City Recorder with respect to said posting is on
file herein;.and
WHEREAS, the hearing on said proposal was duly and regularly
k• held at the City Hall, City of Tigard, on �s
at the hour of 8:00 p.m., whereat all intetest�ed persons and regis-
tered voters of t_j City desiring to be heard, were heard, and said
hearing was duly closed; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all, statutory requirements for the
annexation of the following described area to the City of Tigard have
received full compliance and that said area may be lawfully annexed
to the City of Tigard,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That all of the following described lands be, and the

same are,"hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, and the
- boundaries of the City of Tigard be, and they are, hereby extended
to include the fcllowi,ng described lands within the said boundaries:

Beginning at the S.E. corner of Lot 5 of ASHBROOK FARM, a
duly recorded subdivision in Washington County, Oregon and running
thence S 880 10' W along the Northerly line of that tract of land
conveyed to the Home Owners Loan Corporation by deed recorded in
Bk 159, p. 591 of Washington County, Oregon Deed Records, a distance
of 643.8 feet to a point; thence S 00 20' E parallel with the West line
of v4&d Home Owners Loan Corporation tract, a distance of 231.5 ft.
to the true place of beginning of the tract herein described; thence
S 880 10' W 100.0 ft, to a point; thence S 00 20' E parallel with
the West line of said 12 acre tract, a distance of 235.0 feet to
a point; thence N 880 10' E 100.0 it. to a point; thence N 00 20'
W 235.00 ft. to the true place of beginning, excepting therefrom
the N 35 ft.

Section 2: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation_
b. A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed
c. A certified copy of Ordinance No. 68-75 whereby the
City Council declared that no election is required
in the City,
and to file herein the acknowledgment of the Secretary of State of
said filing.
Section 3: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 1.0 days from the date hereof, to
file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation and the y
Department of Records and Elections of the County of Washington,
the following:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
b. A certified copy of Ordinance No. 68-75
and that a copy of this Ordinance be directed to the Office of the
Washington County Surveyor, and to file herein the acknowledgments
of said Departments of said filings.
Section 4: The annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on the
-- date of filing with the Secretary of State of Oregon the
copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to be filed,
and
from and after said date the hereinabove described and annexed
territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council members
