ORDINANCE No.68- i (_
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No.68-II2 (City of Tigard Dog
Control Ordinance of 1968) BY AMENDING SECTIONS 7 and 8, REPEALING
SECTIONS 9, 11, 12, 15 and 20 THEREOF, AND ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION
DESIGNATED "SECTION 20-0.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section_ 1: Section 8 of Ordinance No.68-42 (City of Tigard Dog Con-
trol Ordinance of 19681), be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follcws:
"Section 8: LICENSE: Every person owning or keeping
a dog six months of age or more
shall procure from the Animal Control Division of
:
Washington County, b�.-gon
Orea license for each such dog
for each calendar year or any part thereof. Such license
shall be procured not later than March 1st in any year,
or within 30 days after the day upon which the dog is
six wonths old, or withi:i 30 days ^iter the day upon
whish the dog, if over six months of age, is first
brought into the county; thereafter, such dog shall be
Licensed on a calendar basis from year to year."
Section 2: Section 7 of Ordinance No.68-42 (City of Tigard Dog Con-
trol Ordinance of 1968), be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follows:
"Section 7: FEES: All license fees, redemption fees, delin-
quent fees or other charges imposed under
Ordinances of Washington County, Oregon, or authorized to nt
collected by the Animal Control Division of Washington County,
Oregon; be, and the same are hereby, adopted as lawful charges
hereunder."
Section 3: Sections 9, 11, 12, 15 and 20 of Ordinance No.68-42 (City
of Tigard Dog Control Ordinance of 1968), be, and the
same are hereby, repealed.
Section 4: Ordinance N1.58-42 (City of Tigard Dog Control Ordinance
of 1968), be, and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto a new section designated "SEC`TION 2G-A", reading as follows:
"Section 20-A - CONTRACT WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON
FOR CONTROL OF DOGS WITHIN CITY OF TIGARD
"Pursuant to §190.010 Oregon Revised Statutes, the City
Council of Tigard does hereby direct the City Administrator
to negotiate a contract for dog control services in accord-
ance with the terms and provisions hereof with Washington
County, Oregon for the control of dogs within the City and
to submit said contract for ratification by the City Council
of Tigard, and, effective with the ratification of said
contract, all authoritied, duties and responsibilities rela-
tive to the control of dogs hereunder and otherwise as pro-
vided by law, shall be vested in the Animal Control Division
of Washington County, Oregon."

Section 5: This ordinance shall become effective on January 1,1969.

present, after being read three times by number and title
only, this 25th day of November, 1968.
