ORDINANCE No. 68-
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD LANDS OF
A. P. NELSON AND LORIS E. NELSON, in Section 1.2, T2S, RIW,
-� WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described lands have
petitioned the City of Tigard to annex the same to the City, az,d
have filed consent to said 'annexation with the City Recorder under
date of the _

WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described and prdposed to be
G' annexed are coitiguous to the corporate limits of *.he City of Tigard
and are rot within the corporate limits of any city and lie wholly
within the County of Washington, State of Oregon, and are, in all
respects, qualified to be annexed to the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 68-62 duly enacted by the City
Council of Tigard on the 26th day ofc 1968, the City
Council of Tigard did elect to dispense w_ itSubmitting the annexa-
tion proposal to the registered voters of the City of Tigard, and
did by said ordinance set Monday the 23_dday of September. , 1968
at the hour of 8:00 p.m. at ti.e City HHa�f,- Tigard, Oregon, as the
time and place for public hearing by the Council of said annexation
proposal; and
wHER1AS, said hearing of Se tember 23 1968 was duly
publicized by :notice published'one" mac wee or two successive
weeks, or three publishings in all, to-wit: On the 5th day of
i September 1968, the '12th day of September 168 and the 19t
+r4 ay o �ep�ember 1§;W, �n the TiFard Times, a newspaper of general
circulaLxo�n anj puElished in the City of Tigard, Oregon; that an
affidavit of said publication is on file herein and that notice of
said hearing was further given by posting in four public and conspic-
unus places within the City of Tigard for a like period and that the
affidavit of the City Recorder with respect to said posting is on
file herein; and
WHEREAS, the hearing on said proposal was duly and regularly
held at the City Hall, City of Tigard, on September 23, 1968
at the hour of 8:00 p.m., whereat all inte=estecTTpeersons and regis-
tered voters of the City desiring to be heard, were heard, and said
hearing was duly closed; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all statutory requirements for the
annexation of the following described area to the City of Tigard have
.s received full compliance and that said area may be lawfully annexed
i to the City of Tigard,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That all of the following described lands be, and the
same are, hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, and the
boundaries of the City of Tigard be, and they are, hereby extended
to include the following described lands within the said boundaries:

Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 12, Township 2 South,
Range 1 West of the Willamette meridian, South 659.9 feet South,
along the East line thereof and along the center of State Highway;
thence South 890 49' West 776.65 feet to an iron pipe to a true
point of beginning of the tract herein described; thence continuing
South 890 49' West 498.4 feet to the East line of County Road #126;
thence South 00 9' West 324.0 feet along the East line of said road;
thence North 890 49' East 498.4 feet; thence North 00 9' East 324
feet to the true point of beginning.
Section 2: That the Recorder of the Citv of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to ,ma;:e e.nd submit to the Secretary of State of Oregons
a. A certified copy of this ordinan�-e of annexation
b. A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed
c. A certified copy of Ordinance No. 68-J2 whereby
the city Council declered �nac no election is
required in the City,
and to file herein the acknowledgement of the Secretary of State of
said filing.
Ton That the Recorder of the City of Tigard he, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from the date hereof.

a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
b. A certified copy of Ordinance No. 68-62
and that'a copy of this ordinance be directed to the Office of the
Washington County Surveyor, and to file herein the acknowledgements
of said Departments of said filings.
g on a• The annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on
November 6th, 1968 after filing with the Secretary of State of Oregon
the copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to be filed,
and from and after said date the hereinabove described and annexed
territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council
members present, after being read three times by
