HOLDEN in Sec. 1, T2S, R1W, W.N. WASHINQM COUVTX,_ ORHOON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NO`PICE THEREOF. WHEREAS there has heretofore been filed with the City Re- corder of the 6ity, of Tigard, petition. for annexation of certain lands in Sec. 1, US, R1W, W.M. Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and R WHEREAS, said peemisos are contiguous to the City of Tigard and not within the corporate 'limits of any other City, and lie wh011y within the County of Washington, State of Oregon; and WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be annexed to the City of Tigard without submitting the question to the registered voters of the territory, since the owners thereof, Floyd H. Anderson, Beatrice E. Anderson, William F. Holden and the State of Oregon have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITT OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Seetlon 1: That the Cite Council of the. City of Tigard does hereby elect to dispense with submitting the question of the annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered voters of the City. Section 2: That Monday, the day of m , 196_a at the hear of 8:Q0 p.m.s at the City Hy3 n�he City of Tigard, be, and the saw is, hereby fixed as the date, time and place for public hearing before the City Council. of Tigard of the petition of Floyd H. Anderson, Beatrice E. Anderson, William F. Holden and the State of Oregon forannexationof the hereinafter described lands to the City of Tigard, and all registered voters of the City may appear at said time and place and beheard on the question of said annexation. Sectiag 3: The City Recorder of the City. of Tigard be, and she is hereby, directed to. give notice of said hearing by pub- lication once each week for two successive weeks, or three publish inge In all, prior to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard Times, a newspaper ofgeneral circulation in the City., and said Recorder be, and she is hereby further directed to post notices of said hear- ing in four public places in the City of Tigard for a like period. Anderson, William F. Holden and the State of Oregon located in Section 1, T2S, R1W, W.M., Washington County, Oregon and more particularly described as follows: All of lots 20 and 21 of Beveland No. 2, a subdivision of record in said county and those parts of the Beaverton-Tigard Highway, S.W. 72nd Avenue, and S.W. Hampton Street being within the £ollowinu described boundaries: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said .lot 20; running thence, South 890 05' West 252.59 feet to the Southwest corner of lot 21 of said subdivision; thence North along the Westerly line of said subdivision 178.60 feet to a point, said paint being North 38.35 feet from the Southwest corner of lot 13 of Beveland No. 2; thence South 890 44' West 1005.3 feet to a point on the West line of that tract of land conveyed by deed from John W. Keller to Elizabeth Keller in Book 116, Page 469, Deed Records of said county; thence South 00 29' 20" East 449 feet to the Southwest corner of said Keller tract, said corner being on the centerline of county road #245 (S.W. Hunziker Street) ; thence North 890 44' East along the centerline of said county road and an extension thereof 986.9 feet to a point on the Easterly right of way of 40 foot wide county road #472 (S.W. 72nd Avenue) ; thence Northerly along said Easterly right of way line, 210 feet, more or less, to the intersection of the Southerly right of wag line of S. W. Hampton Street, as extended westerly; thence North 89 05' East along said Southerly right of way line 262.59 feet; thence North 000 55° :Vest 60 feet to the point of beginning. Section 5: Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation of the lands herein described should be conducted with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety J of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its ;4 passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
