AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNhXATION TO
THE CITY OF 'TIGARD LANDS in Sec. 35 TlS, R1W, 19.i=1. WASHINGTON COUNTY,
OREGON, COMMONLY KNOWN AS "GREENDURG HEIGHTS ANNEXATION" A14D DIRECTING
GIVING OF NOTICE THL•:REOF.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Recorder of
the City of Tigard, petition for annexation of certain lands in :]ashington
County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard and not
within the corporate limits of any other City, and lie wholly within the
County of Washington, State of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be annexed to
the City of Tigard without submitting the question to the registered voters
of the territory, since the owners thereof,
Gwendolyn Blair, Kenneth I. Blair, Elvera Violet Lawn, Glenn 51. Lamm,
Mary An Arnold, Ivan L. Arnold, Grace J. winthers, Carl L. Winthers,
Edythe E. Ruetschi, Borrhild M. Strum, Lester G. Riggin, Alden Lewis,
Muriel S. Lewis, Sharon A. Cutshall, Darrell Cutshall, Iiarold Hanna and
Margaret V. Hanna.
have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation:
NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLO'v1S:
Section_ 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hareby
elect to dispense with submitting the question of the
annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered
voters of the City.
Section 2: That blonday, the : day of July, 1463 at the hour of
8:00 p.m., at the City Hall in the City of Tigard, be and
the same is, hereby fixed as the date, time and Place for public hearing
before the City of Council of Tigard of the petition of
Gwendolyn Blair, Kenneth I. Blair, Elvera Violet Lamm, Glenn A. Lamm,
Nary Ann Arnold, Ivan L. Arnold, Grace J. ainthers, Carl L. Winthers,
Edythe E. Ruetschi, Lorghild 11. Strom, Lester G. Riggin, Alden Lewis,
Muriel S. Lewis; Sharon A. Cutshall, Darrell Cutshall, Harold Hanna and
Margaret IV. Hanna.
for annexation of the hereinafter described lands Lu the City of
Tigard, and all registered voters of the City may appear at said time
and place and be heard on the question of said annexation.
Section 3: The City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is hereby,
directed to give notice of said '_searing by publication once
each week for two successive weeks, or three publishings in all, prior
to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general
circulation in the City, and said Recorder be, and she is hereby further
directed to post notices of said hearing in four public places in the
City of Tigard for a like period.

Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 2 of Greenburg
Heights a duly recorded subdivision located in Section 35, TIS, RlW,
W.M. , Washington County, Oregon; running thence North 000 02' East
199.0 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 3 of said subdivision;
thence South 890 58' West 219.0 feet to the Southeast corner of
Lot 4 of said subdivision; thence *forth 000 09' West 180 fdet; thence
South 890 58' West 189 feet, mo6e or less, to a point on centerline of
Std 98th Avenue; thence North 00 03' West 51.4 feet to a point on
centerline of Sr'J 98th Avenue; thence North 890 58' West 610.9 feet
to a point on the Easterly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad; thence Southeasterly along said right-of-way line 562.6
feet to a point; thence South 890 58' Last 460 feet, more or less, to
a point on the west right-of-way line of SW 98th Avenue; thence
North 890 58' East 438 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.

Section 5: Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation
of the lands herein described should be. conducted with
the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety
of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its
passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
