Ordinance No. 68-27 i CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No. 68 - 27 AN ORDINANCES SETTING REARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEXA- 10.4 OF THE LANDS OF CHESTER L. ROBINSON, et al and WILLIAM R. ROBINSON, et al in Section 34, T1S, RlW, W.M. WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NOTICE THEREOF. WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Re- corder of the City of Tigard, petition for annexation of certain lands in Section 34, T1S, R1W, W.M. Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard and not within the corporate limits of any other City, and lie wholly within the County of Washington, State of Oregon; and WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be annexed to the City of Tigard without submitting the question to the registered voters of the territory, since the owners thereof, Chester L. Robinson, et al and William R. Robinson, et all have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hereby elect to dispense with submitting the question of the annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered voters of the City. Section 2: Tnat Monday, the 10 day of June , 1968 at the hour of 8:00 P.m., at the City Ha 1 in the City of Tigard, be, and the same is, hereby fixed as the date, time and place for public hearing before the City Council of Tigard of the petition Of Chester L. Robinson, et al and William R. Robinson, et al for annexation of the hereinafter described lands to the City of Tigard,-;and all registered voters of the City may appear at said rimae and place and be heard on the question of said annexation. Seetion:_3_ The City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is hereby, directed to give notice of said hearing by pub- lication once each week for two successive seeks, or three publish- Ings in all, prior to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City, and said Recorder he, and;she it hereby further directed to post notices of said hear- Ing in four public places in the City of Tigard for a like period. Section 4: That the area proposed to be annexed be, and the same is hereby described as follows: Page 1 ORDINANCE NO-6 8 - � i The lands of Chester L. Robinson et al in Section 34,T1S, R1W, W.M., Washington County, Oregon more particularly described as follows: i Tract I: Being a strip of land 100 feet wide parallel to; North ( and West of the following described line: Beginning at a point on the East and West centerline of said section 34, said point being 75 feet West of the center of said sections thence running East along said centerline 927.3 feet to the southeast corner of the Harry L. Robinson Tract as described in Book 104, Page 517, deed records, Washington County,Oregon; thence N8rth along the east line of said tract 1022.8 feet; thence South 89 50' East a distance of 749.5 feet to tone ending point of said strip of land, said point being North 89 45' West 900 feet and North 1023.8 feet from the East quarter section corner of said section 34. Tract II: Beginning at the Northwest corner of that tract of land deeded to Metzger Sanitary District, a municipal corporation, recorded in Book 519, Page 110, Records of Washington County, Oregon; running thence S$uth along the West line of said tract 700 feet; thence North 89 45' West a distance of 521.8 feet; thence North 1123.0 t feet to the Northeast corner of the above described Tract 1; said { corner being North 690 45' West 990 feet and North 1123.8 feet from the East quarter corner of said section 34; thence Southwesterly 672 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Section 5: Inasmuch as the hearing; of the petition for annexation of the lands herein described should be conducted with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
