CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No. 67 AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEXA- TION OF THE LANDS OF GOULD, EMS et al , in Sec. 1, T2S, R1W, W.M. t WASHINGTON COUNTY,, OREGON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NOTICE THEREOF. I WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Re- " `; corder of the City of Tigard,, petition for annexation of certain lands .Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, said premises are contiguous to the City of Tigard and not within the corporate limits of any other City, and lie . wholly within the County of Washington, State of Oregon; and xo WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be -"annexed to the City of Tigard without submitting the question to the registered voters of the City, since the owners thereof, H.RUSSEL r GOUL VIRGINIA LEE GOULD RAYMOND B. EMS, PHYLLIS S. EMS, OTTO TEUSCHER, WILD' tD•T. ROOKE and HAZEL L. ROOKE + have by signed petition requested and consented to said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, 1HE<CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Ion 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does hereby ,s elect to dispense with submitting the question of the � annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered voters of the City. = Section 2: That Monday, the 18th day of September , 1967 at the hour of 8:00 p.m., at the Citof y Hall in the City - Tigard, be, and the same is, hereby fixed as the date, time and place for public hearing before the City Council of Tigard of the petition c Of MOULD, EMS et al for annexation of the hereinafter described lands to the City ofr Tigard, and all registered voters of the City may appear-at said �a time'and,place.and be heard on the question of said annexation. [ F Seetion 3: The City Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she ds ' { hereby directed to give notice of said hearing by pub- lication once each week for two to, weeks, or three publish- 4 ings in all, prior to the date of the hearing;, in the 'Tigard Times, Ea a'neirspaper of general circulation in the City, and said Recorder and she is hereby further directed to pose notices of said hearing in our public places in the City of Tigard for a like period. That the area proposed to be annexed be, and the same is hereby described as follows: i $ f ORDINANCE No. 67- Beginning at the initial point of ROLLINf} HILLS PLAT 2, a subdivision of record, Washington County, Oregon; thence N88051110" W a distance of 780.42 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 37 in said subdivision, sand lot oorner also being on the boundary line of the existing corporate limits of the City of Tigard, Oregon; thence following along said cor- porate boundary southeasterly 670 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of the tract of land conveyed to Raymond B. Ems by deed recorded an P*324 Bk.339 of Washington County, Oregon; thence N88.42'30" East 26 2 feat along the South line of the W.W.Oraham D,L.C.,#39• thence NO• 591511" E 24.02 feet to an iron pipe; thence N89°37' E 623.0 feet to an Iron pipe set In the Westerly right-of-way line of County Road No.472; f. thrnac S 0*30' W along said right-of-way line 24.02 feet to the South line of raid D.L.C.#39; thence N89"37' E 20 feet to the Southeast corner of Bald claim; thence N 0030' E along the East line of said claim 415 .7 li fest; thence N89°24" W along the North line of that tract of land conveyed to Leo van Vorsb and Betty Van Vorst recorded in Bk-363 p.352 of said Dread REcords, and extension a distance of 350.0 feet to a point on the Westerly right-of-way line of S.W.74th Avenue; thence N 0059'50" East 54 feet, more or lean, to a point on the South line of said Rolling � Hills #2 subdivision; thence N88e51110" W, along said subdivision, a distance of 10 feet to the point of beginning. { i i Section 5.- Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation of the lands herein described should be conducted with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,. and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
