AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD LANDS OF
JACK T. TAYLOR et ux, in Sec. 11, T2S, R1W, W.M. ,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described lands have
petitioned the City of Tigard to annex the same to tt:,: City, and have
filed consent to said annexation with the City Recorder under date of
the 10 day of April , 1967; and
WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described and proposed to be
annexed are contigtious to the corporate limits of the City of Tigard
and are not within the corporate limits of any city and lie wholly
within the County of Washington, State of Oregon, and are, in all re-
spects, qualified to be annexed to the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance Pdo.67- 28 duly emoted by the City Council
of Tigard on the 10 day of Aari1 19'7, the City Council of
Tigard did elect to dispense with submitting the annexation proposal to
the registered voters of the City of Tigard, and did by said ordinance
set Monday the 8th day of May , 1967, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock p.m. at the City Hall, Tigard, Oregon, as the time and place
i'or public hearing by the Council of said annexation proposal; and
WHEREAS, said hearing of 4 Mai 8 1067 was duly
publicized by notice published once each Hee, for tw;o'successive weeks,
or three publishings in all, to-writ: On the 20 day of April ,
1967, the 27 day of April , 19c7, and the 4 day of
May , 1967) in the 'figard Times, a newspaper of general
circulation and published in the City of Tigard, Oreton; that an affi-
davit of said rtt_blication is on file herein and that notice cf said
hearing was further given by posting in four public and conspicuous
places within the City of Tigard for a lake period and that the affi--
davit of the City Recorder with respect to said posting is on file
herein; and
WHEREAS, the hearing on said proposal was duly and regularly
held at the City Hall,
City of Tigard, on May 8 19°7 at the
hour of 8:00 O'clock P.M., whereat all interested persons and registered
voters of the City desiring to be heard, were heard, and said hearing
was duly closed; and
AS, it appears that all statutory requirements for the
WHEREAS,
of AS, followingdescribed area to the City of Tigard have
received full compliance and that said area may be.-lawfully annexed to
the City of Tigard,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
} Section 1: That all of the following described lands be, and the same

are, hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, and the bound-
aries of the City of Tigard be, and they are, hereby extended to
include the following described lands within the said boundaries:

Beginning at a point on the North line of Section 11,
Township 2 South-,Range 1 West of the Willamette Meridian,
Washington County, Oregon, which point bears North 89025'
West 400.0 feet from the Northeast corner of that certain
tract of land conveyed to E. 0, and Elizabeth Allen by deed
as recorded in deed book 100 page 148; and which point Of
beginning bears South 89025' East 1067.8 feet from the
Northwest corner of that certain tract of land described
in deed book 89, page 226, and running thence South parallel
with the East litre of said Allen tract 731.3 feet to a
paint on the South line of said tract; thence North 89°25'
West along the South line of said Allen tract a distance
of 100 feet to a point;' thence North parallel to the East
line of said Allen tract a distance of 731.3 feet to a
point on the North line of said tract; thence South 89125'
East along said North line 100.0 feet to the place of be-
ginning; SAVE AND EXCEPTING the North 300 feet thereof.
Section 2: That the Recorder of the City of Tic,ard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from, the date hereof,
to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:
a. A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation
b. A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed
0. A certified copy of Ordinance No.67-28 w:iereb,y the
City Council declared that no cluction is required
in the City,
and to file_ herein the acknowledgment of the Scc:etary of State of
said filing.
Sceticn 3� That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby directed, within 10 days from ..;e date hereof, to
file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation and the
Department of Records and Elections of the County of Washington, the
following,:
a. A_certified copy of this ordinar_ce of annexation
b. A certified copy of Ordinance No.67� 2$ ,
and that a. copy of this Ordinance be directed to the Office of the
Washington County Surveyor,
cnd to file herein the acknowledgments of said Departments of said
filings.
Section 4: The annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on the
fle:te of filing with the Secretary of State of Oregon the
copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to be filed,
and from and after said date the hereinabove described and annexed
territory --hall be and remain a part of the City of ',hard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council members
present, after being read three times by title only,
