ORDINANCE No.67-
AN ORDINANCE FIXING A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON THE
13th day of February, 1967 at 8:00 P.M., IN THE CITY HALL ON MAIN
STREET, TIGARD, OREGON, WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF TIGARD OF THAT CERTAIN AREA CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF
TIGARD, INCLUDING "PINEBROOK" SUBDIVISION, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY RECORDER TO PUBLISH AND POST NOTICES THEREOF AND TO INCUR
NECESSARY EXPENSES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Council of the City of Tigard, having by Ordinance
No.66-47, duly adopted on December 12, 1966, ordered a
special election to be held in the area hereinafter described; in-
cluding "Pinebrook" subdivision, on January 19, 1967, and said elec-
tion having been duly held as provided by law, whereat a majority
of the - in favor of annexing said area to the City of

Tigard; and the Council does hereby elect to dispense with submit-
ting the question of annexation of said area to the registered voters
of the City, and, pursuant to §222.120 O.R.S., a date, time and place
should be fixed for public hearing before the Council at which time
the remistered voters of theCity may appear and be heard on the
question of the proposed annexation;
Now, therefore, a public hearing be, and the same is
hereby, called to be held at 8:00 p.m, on Monday, February 13,1967
at the City Hall on Main Street, Tigard, Oregon, for the purpos=of
affording the registered voters of theCity an opportunity to he
heard on the question of annexation to the City of Tigard of the

Section 2: That the City Recorder be, and she is hereby, author-
ized and directed to give notice of said 'nearing by
publication in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general circulation
and published in the City of Tigard, Oregon, once each week for two
successive weeks, or three publishings in all, prior to said hearing,
' and further, said Recorder be, and she is hereby, authorized and
directed to cause to havenotice of said hearing posted in not less
than four (4) public places within the City of Tigard for a like
period, and the City Recorder be, and she is hereby, authorized to
incur necessary expenses for said posting and publishing, same to be
chargeable to the general account appropriation of the City.
Section 3: Inasmuch as it is necessary for immediate preservation
of the peace, health and safety of the City of Tigard
that said hearing be held and the final determination of the question
of annexation be accomplished without undue delay, and it is nec-
essary to provide for due legal notice to be given of said hearing,
this ordinance must take effect immediately; therefore, an emergency

and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
