Ordinance No. 66-33 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No. 66 - 33 AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO PROPOSED ANNEXA•- TION OF THE LANDS OF HENRY WILLIAMS and JOYCE A. WILLIAMS, being a portion of Tax Lot 600, in Sec. 34 , TIS, R114, W.M., WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, AND DIREZ'TPING GItiING OF NOTICE THEREOF. WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the City Re- corder of the City of Tigard, petition for annexation of certain lands, being a portion of Tax Lot 600, it! Sec. 34 , T1S, R1W,W.M., Washington County, Oregon, as hereinafter describer,and j WHEREAS, said premises are contiguotka to the City of Tigard and not within the corporate limits of any other City, and lie wholly within the,County of Washington, State of Oregon; and i WHEREAS, it appears that said premises may properly be j annexed to the City of Tigard witnout submitting the question to the registered voters of the City, since the owners thereof, HENRY WILLIAMS and JOYCE A. FTLLIAMS, husband and wife, have by signed petition requested and ecnsented to said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, ¢ THE CIT`! OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: p ,z Section 1: That the City Ceunril of the City of Tigard does hereby elect to dispense with submitting the question of the annexation of the hereinafter described premises to the registered } voters of the City. Section 2: That Monday, the 12th day of September , 1966 at the hour of 8:00 p.m., at the CitT Hall in the. City of Tigard, be, and the same is, hereby fixed as the date, time and place for public hearing before the City Council of Tigard of the petition of HENRY WILLIAMS and JOYCE A. WILLIA14S for annexation of the hereinafter described lands to the City of Tigard, and all registered voters of the City may appear at said time and place and be heard on the question of said annexation. Section 3: The City_Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing by pub- lication once each week for two successive weeks, or three publish-Ings in all, prior to the date of the hearing, in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City, and said Recorder be, and she is hereby further directed to post notices of said hear Ing in four pubTle places in the City of Tigard for a like period. Section 4: That the area proposed to be annexed be, and the same + is hereby described as follows: x Page 1 - ORDINANCE No. 66 a 33 ti� r I The southerlymost 428 feet of Tax Lot 600, C, more particu- larly described as .follows: 131 A CA Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of S.W.Dakota Street with the centerline of S. W. 121st Avenue, in Section 34 , TIS, R1W, W.M., Washington County, Oregon; thence East along the centerline of S. W. Dakota Avenue 355 feet to the East line of said Tax Lot 600; thence North along the East line of said Tax Lot 600, 453 feet to A point; thence West parallel to the centerline of S. W. Dakota Street 355 feet to the centerline of S. W. 121st Avenue; thence South along the centerline of S.W. 121st Avenue to the point of beginning. ! Section 5_ Inasmuch as the hearing of the petition for annexation of the lands herein described should be conducted with the least possible delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, W and it is declared to be necessary for the peace, health and safety of the City of Tigard that this ordinance become effective upon its passage by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
