ORDINANCE NO. 65 - 23_
AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO THE ANNEXATION
OF LANDS OF THEODORE M. SWAM, ET U%, IN NORTH TIGARDVILLE
ADDITION, WASHINGTON COUNTY. STATE OF OREGON. _
WHEREAS, petitions have been duly filed with the City
Recorder of Tigard for the annexation of certain lands de-
scribed on the attached sheet head "DESCRIPTION' and by
reference made a part hereof, by which meaans various owners
of the lands involved have consented to the annexation of the
respective lands without submitting same to a vote; and
WHEREAS, the said premises are not within the corporate
limits of any otherc:city, and lie wholly within the County .
of Washington, State of uregou, and the whole of said area
is contiguous to the City of Tigard, and
WHEREAS, it appears that said area may lawfully be
annexed without submitting the question to Lhe registered
voters of the city;
NMI, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Tigard does
hereby declare its intention to annex to the City of Tigard all
landii as bounded or otherwise described on the attached sheet
headed "DESCRIPTION" which by reference is made a part hereof,
said annexation proposal to provide that beginning with the
first fiscal year after annexation takes effect, the rate of
taxation for city purposes or, the property in said area pro-
posed to be annexed shall be according to the following ratios:
(a) Fiscal year 1966-67 - 25% ratio of the
highest rate of taxation applicable
for such year for city purposes to
other property within the city.
(b) Fiscal year 1967-68 -507. ratio of the highest
rate of taxation applicable for such year
for city purposes to other property within
the city.
(c) Fiscal year 1968-69 - 7.5 ratio of the highest
rate of taxation applicable for such
year for city purposes to other property
within the city.

(d) Beginning with the fiscal year 1969-70 and thereafter
said area shall be licableseachc
t to the same rate of
taxation applicable for city purposes
to other property in the city.
Section 2; That the City Council of the city of Tigard does
