AN ORDINANCE ANNEKING TO THE CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON, LANDS
OF HAROLD W. PARTLOW ET AL, BEING.A PORTION OF Lot 22, FREWING
ORCHARD TRACTS. WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON.
WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of the hereinafter
described lands, in due and legal form, was presented to the City
Council of the City of Tigard on the 10th day of May, 1965; and
WHEREAS, all the owners of said lands o:- any portion thereof
by said petition have consented to the annexation of said area to
the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter described is contiguous to the

none of said area is included within the boundaries of any other
Incorporated city; and
WHEREAS b Ordinance No. 65-12 duly passed by the City Council
of the City of Tigard on May 10, 1965, the City Council did elect
to disuense with submitting the question of annexation of said area
to the registered voters, and a hearing was called to be held on
the 14th day of June, 1965 at 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall on :fain
Street in the City of Tigard, with respect to said petition for the
annexation of the hereinafter described area; and
WHER no;-ice of said hearing was given byppublication once
each week for two successive weeks, or three publishings in all,
"prior to said hearing, in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Tigard, and by posting notice of said
hearing in four public places within the City of Tigard, as more
fully;appears from the affidavits of publication and posting in the
records and files of the City of Tigard, and
WHEREAS, a hearing with respect to said petition for annexa-
tion was duly and regularly held, at the regular meeting of the City
Council on June 14, 1965 at 8:00 p.m. in the City Hall on Main Street
in the City of Tigard, whereat those registered voters and other in-
terested persons desiring to be heard were heard both in support of
and against said proposal, and said hearing was duly closed; and
WMWAS, after due deliberation, the City Council of the City
of Tigard, in regular meeting assembled on the14__thday of June, 1965
duly ppaassed a motion favoring the annexation of the hereinafter
described area,

THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the following described lands of HAROLD W.
PARTLOW and BETTY L. PARTLOW, LEOTA C.. BARRETT and
LAWRENCE A. BARRETT, be, and the same are hereby annexed to the
City of Tigard,, Oregon, and the boundaries of the City of Tigard
are hereby extended to include the following described lands:
A portion of Lot 22, FREWING ORCHARD TRACTS, Washington
County, Oregon, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Southwesterly line of said
Lot 22 North 30'04' West 312 feet from the most southerly
:zrner of said lot; thence North 54°27' East 196 feet to
a point in the westerly line of the plat of VIEWCREST
TERRACE: thence North 29°56'40" West along the westerly
line of said plat 125 feet, more or less, to the south-
eaeterly corner of tract conveyed to M. R. Hine et ux by
deed recorded in Book 480 at page 53; thence Westerly on
the southerly line of said Hine tract 196 feet to the
southwest corner thereof! thence Southerly along the
westerly line of Lot 22,125 feet, more or less, to the
true place of beginning.
Section 2: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she
is hereby, directed, within 10 days from the date
?u3raQ£� to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:
(a) A certified copy of this Ordinance of annexation.
b A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed, to-wit:
the said petition for annexation containing said
consent.
(c) A certified copy of Ordinance No. 65-12 whereby the
City Council declared that no election is required
in the City,
and to file herein the acknowledgment of the Secretary of State
of said filing.
Section 3: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she
is hereby, directed, widi n 10 days from the date
hereof, to file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxa-
tion and the Department of Records .and Elections of the County of
Washington, the following:
(a) A certified copy of this Ordinance of annexation.
b A certified copy of Ordinance No. 65-12,
and to file herein the acknowledgments of said Departments of said
filings
Section 4: The annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on
the date of filing with the Secretary of State of Ore-
gon the copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to �J4
filed, and from and after said date the hereinabove described and
annexed territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard,
