ORDINANCE NO. 65- 11
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY CF TIGARD, OREGON, LANDS
OF SCHOOL DISTRICT No. 23, WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, IN THE NORTH-
EAST QUARTER OF SECTION 1 T2S R1W, W.M.. WASHINGTON COUNTY.OREGON.
WHE'"SAS, a petition for the annexation of the hereinafter
described lands, in due and legal force, was presented to the City
Council of the City of Tigard on Lble 12th day of April-, 10-65; and
�. WHEREAS all the owners of the said lands or any portion
thereof by said petition h-va consented to the annexation of said
area to the City of Tigard; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter described is contiguous to the
City of Tigard and is wholly within the County of Washington and
none of said area is included within the boundaries of any other
incorporated city; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 65-9 duly passed by the City Council
` of the City of Tigard on the 12th day of April, 1965, the City
Council did elect to dispense with submitting the question of annex-
ation of said area to the registered voters, and a hearing was
called to be held on the 10th day of May, 1965, at 8:00 p.m. at the
City Hall on Main Street in the City of Tigard, with respect to
said petition for the annexation of the hereinafter described area;
and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was given by publication
once each week for two successive weeks, or three publishings in
all, prior to said hearing, in the Tigard Times, a newspaper of
general circulation Ln the City of Tigard, and by posting notice
l of said hearing in four public places within the City of Tigard, as
more fully appears from the affidavits of publication and posting
in the records and files of the City of Tigard; and

WHEREAS, a hearing with respect to said petition for annex-
ation was duly and regularly held, at the regular meeting of the
City Council on May 10, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., in the City Hall on
Main Street in the City of Tigard, whereat those registered voters
and other interested persons desiring to be heard were heard both
in support of and against said proposal, and said hearing was duly
closed; and
WHEREAS, after due deliberation, the City Council of the
City of Tigard, in regular meeting assembled on the lothday of
May, 1965, duly passed a motion favoring the annexation of the
hereinafter described area,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THIS CITY OF TIG.ARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the following described lands of SCHOOL DISTRICT
No. 23, WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, be, and the same
are hereby annexed to the City of Tigard, Oregon, and the boundaries
of the City of Tigard are hereby extended to include the following
described lands:
Beginning at a point in the center line of County Road
South 0° 35' West 429 feet from the Northeast corner of
the W. W. Graham D.L.C., Townshig 2 South, Range 1 West,
W.M., and running thence South 0 35' West along the
center line of said road 407.5 feet; thence South 89°44'
West 975.3 feet to an iron pipe on the Westerly line of
that certain tract conveyed by deed from John W. Keller,
et al, to Elizabeth Keller and recorded in Book 116, page
469, Deed Records of Washington County, Oregon; thence
North.0° 29' 20" West along the Westerly line of said
tract 480.95 feet to an iron pipe; thence South 85°59120"
East 985.88 feet to the place of beginning,
EXCEPTING HOWEVER, the portion thereof lying within the
boundaries of roads and highways.
Section That the Recorder of the City of 'Tigard be, and she
is hereby, directed, within 10 days from the date
hereof, to make and submit to the Secretary of State of Oregon:
c (a) A certified copy of this ordinance of annexation.
(b) A certified copy of the statement of consent of
the landowners in the territory annexed, to-wit;
the said petition for annexation containing said
consent.

(e) A certified copy of Ordinance No. 65-9 whereby
the City Council declared that no election is
required in the City.
and to file herein the acknowledgment of the Secretary of State of
said filing.
Section 3: That the Recorder of the City of Tigard be, and she is
hereby, directed, within 10 days from the date hereof,
to file with each of the Department of Revenue and Taxation and the
Department of Records and Elections of the County of Washington,
the following:

and to fila herein the acknowledgments of said Departments of said
filings.
Section 4: The annexation hereby ordained shall be effective on
the date of filing with the Secretary of State of
Ore on the copies of proceedings as in Section 2 hereof required to
be filed, and from and after said date the hereinabove described and
annexed territory shall be and remain a part of the City of Tigard.
PASSED: By the Council, by unanimous vote of all Council
