AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING SECTION 21-A (PARKING
REGULATIOORDINANCENNO. 64-15, TO ORDINANCE No.REGULATE PARKING ONSTHESNOORTHEASTNDED BY
QUADRANT
OF THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAYS 217 and 99W.
WHEREAS, the attention of the City Council of Tigard, Oregon,
has been re-directed to the need for reconsideration of traffic
f1M.; at the northeast, quadrant of the intersection of Highway 217
and S. W. Pacific Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting of
February 22, 1965, duly considered the matter, including the request
of the occupant of the lands adjoining the hereinafter-described
portion of said highways; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that it is reason-
able and necessary and in the best interests of the public, based
upon proper consideration of factors of public safety and the
primary right of the public to the use of said public ways for
vebicular traffic, that parking in the area hereinafter defined be
regulated as follows; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 54-15, passed by the
City Council on the 14th day of September, 1964, and subsection (2)
of Section 21-A (Parking Regulations) of Ordinance No. 63-15, be
and the same is hereby repealed, annulled and held for naught.
Section 2: That Section 21-A (Parking Regulations) of Ordinance
No. 63-15 be and the same is hereby amended and supple-
mented to add to said Section 21-A (Parking Regulations) a sub-
section numbered (2) to read as follows:
"(2) No person shall at any time park or leave standing
a vehicle of any kind or character, whether motorized or not,
�• within the following defined portions of public highways
within the City of Tigard:
(a) Within the north one-half of right-of-way of S.. W.
Pacific Highway (99w), within 1a6 feet easterly of the

217 with the north right-of-way line of Pacific Highway
West (99W).
HWithin the eas ore-half of the right-of-way of
ghway 217 within feet no7therly of thu intersection

north rigt-.t:-of-way line of Pacific Highway West (99W).
Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective on the 31st day after
its enactment by ::he City council of Tigard, Oregon.
PASSED: By unanimous vote of all Council members present,
after being read three times by title only
