An ordinance authorizing and providing for payment of com-
pensation to members of the City Council and the Mayor of the
City of Tigard for attendance at council meetings.
IT IS ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD:
Section 1. That for attendance at each regular, or legally
called special, maeting of the City Council of the
Citv of Tigard, Oregon, each duly appointed or elected councilman

anthe Mayor shall be entitled to compensation at the rots o:
Fivn.: Dollars ($5.00) per meeting, provided that compensation to
any one member or the Mayor shall not exceed Twenty-five Dollars
($25.00) per month.
Sectiun 2. It is hereby declared that an emergency exists and
it is necessary for the
--l—eaiate nr_eservation of
the peace, health and safety of the people of the City of Tigard
that this ordinance become effective immediately in order to pro-
vide'for.;the compensation of members of the City Council and Mayor
for attendance at meetings in behalf of the City of Tigard.
