AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR SEWER USER SERVICE CHARGES
AND RATES.
IT IS ORDAINED by the Council of the CITY OF TIGARD:
Section 1: Sewer service charges, pursuant to Section 224.510
.S., are assessed, levied, established and made effective as
�'� _r. .. ntate.3 aga3nRt each and every lot, tract or parcel of
land using a sewer or sewers. Said chargee are based upon Inv-
benefit to each parcel of land using a sewer, taking into consid-
eration the quantity of water reaching the premises, number of
facilities, nature of use, and number of users. All property ad-
jacent to an available sewer, and put to use, shall pay sewer
charges whether or not connected to the sewage system.
Section 2: The rate of sewer user charge as against each and
every ME, tract or parcel of residential property shall be:
(a) For each single family residence, $2.00 per
month.
(b) For each unit of a multi-family structure,
$2.00 per month
(c) For each trailer house, $2.00 per month
Section 3: The rate of sewer user charge as against each and
every'lot, tract or parcel of commercial and/or business property
shall be:
(a) The sum of $2.00 per month for each business or
office room with not more than one regular occupant.
(b) The sum of $3.00 per month for each business
building or office occupied by more than one, but not more than
three regular occupants.
(c) Three or less regular occupants of a business
building or office shall constitute a unit and for each additional
unit or part thereof, the additional sum of $2.00 per month.
(d) In addition to the charges fixed for business
and commercial enterprises in the preceding subsections, there
shall be a surcharge of $2.00 per month on each tavern, service
station and restaurant. Laundromats shall pay a rate equal to
85 per cent of the metered water charge for such business.
Section 4: The rate of sewer user service charges against every
ot, tract and parcel of property used for industrial plants,

manufacturing plants, lau& '.a,,, food processing plants, ware-

houses, or other business constituting industry, shall be fixed
by resolution of the City Council.
SPctaon 5. The rate of sewer user service charges against every

church;, lodge hall, granngge hall or other like service users shall
be fixed by resolution of the City Council.
Section 6: it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and
tTWF Tts necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace,
health and safety of the people of the City of Ti ard, Oregon,
that this ordinance become effective mediately in order to provide
continuity of sewer service, insure public revenues and the proper
use of public property within the City, and this ordlirance shall
be in full force and effect upon its passage by the Council and
approval by the Mayor, and shall continue in full force and effect
indefinitely unless sooner repealed, amended or superseded.
