Ordinance No. 01-22 CITY OF TIGARD,OREGON ORDINANCE NO.01 «a AN ORDINANCE DELETING CHAPTER 2.06, RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS, OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, Chapter 2.06 of the Tigard Municipal Code requires certain employees to establish residency within the boundaries of Clackamas,Multnomah,and Washington Counties of the state within one hundred twenty days following the end of the probationary period;and WHEREAS the Tigard City Council,upon review of these requirements,has determined there is no benefit to the community to require certain City employees to establish residency in,a limited number of adjacent counties. NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Chapter 2.06 of the Tigard Municipal Code(Exhibit A)is hereby deleted in its entirety. SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the Council, signature by the Mayor,and posting by the City Recorder. All persons employed full-time by the city of Tigard in the positions named in this chapter are required to establish permanent residency within the boundaries of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties of the state within one hundred twenty days following the end of the probationary period. The affected positions are the following: city administrator, chief of police, community development director, head librarian, finance officer and city recorder. Persons employed in the affected positions on the date this chapter takes effect (January 17, 1979) shall not be required by this chapter to establish residency within the urban growth boundary of the city of Tigard.
