AN ORDINANCE REPEALING TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.58 RELATING TO THE
APPOINTMENT OF THE FINANCE DIRECTOR
WHEREAS,Tigard Municipal Code section 2.58 contains certain provisions governing the appointment of
the Finance Director,and
WHEREAS,this code provision is out of date and does not reflect current practice in the City,and
WHEREAS, Citywide Personnel Policies, section 2.0, grants the City Manager appointive and removal
power over all department directors,including the Finance Director.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Tigard Municipal Code section 2.58 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the Council, signature by
the Mayor,and posting by the City Recorder.
