ORDINANCE NO.01- 05
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 5.10 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, certification and licensing of private security personnel is now done by the State of Oregon
Department of Public Safety Standards and Training and;
WHEIREAS, security services are provided by companies not located or licensed to do business within the
City of Tigard.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Tigard Municipal Code Section 5.10, Detectives and Merchant Police, is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the Council, signature by
the Mayor,and posting by the City Recorder.
