Correspondence 5 f -0337 15685 SW 79 Ave. 2/8/2007 Lot 4 In general I recommend staying a minimum of 3 ft. off the south property line to avoid damage to neighboring trees to the south. A tree symbol appears on the site plan directly under the outline of the west end of the proposed house, but there is no tree there and the symbol can be removed. There are no neighbor trees nearby. A large Douglas -fir tree is standing in the southwest corner of the lot and it requires a 22 ft. root protection zone. This is a protected tree and there is currently a tree protection fence up at the correct distance. The corner of the proposed house is approximately 10 ft. from the protected tree and a concrete patio is well within the root protection zone. The house design will have to be modified to avoid the protected area. Lot 5 There are four maple trees near the west property line. Three are growing on Lot 5 and one is apparently growing on the boundary line with the neighbor to the west. The trees do not appear on the map, and I do not believe they are protected trees. I recommend staying 12 ft. off the property line to avoid damaging these trees. They appear to be in terminal decline. Removing three of them now might be a better option. The one on the property line cannot be legally removed without consulting the adjoining property owner. Lots 6 and 7 Neighboring trees will be adequately protected by staying 3 ft. off the property line with any excavating in these two lots. Conclusion I recommend moving the tree protection fences to the locations mentioned above. In some cases this will leave more room to work, but in others it will mean less room. I do not see any feasable alternative to changing the house design on Lot 4. Page 2 of 3 • 7 yo % %ej 0 C O .
