The original specifications for the concrete called for 3000 psi this was changed to 2000 psi due to the short time frame allotted the installation. This was also reviewed by our engineer as also being acceptable , and requires no special inspections. A copy of the engineers stamped letter is enclosed regarding the above issues. Additionally, one (1) inch diameter anchor bolts, 18 inches long cast into the concrete may be substituted for the one (1) inch diameter by..14 inch long bolts drilled and epoxy grouted • into the cured concrete as originally shown on the plans.' The submitted plans are approved subject to the following conditions. SPECIAL INSPECTION Special inspection is required for CONCRETE, WELDING & SIMPSON SET EPDXY. The special inspection agency of record shall furnish inspection reports to the Engineer of Record, Zeyn B. Uzman, the General Contractor, West Slope Enterprises and the City of Tigard, Building Division, attention Hap Watkins. All discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the general contractor for correction. The plans indicate a "Wolmanized" product. Provide the City of Tigard inspector with verification of the product as indicated on the approved plans. American with Disabilities Act (ADA): It shall be the responsibility of the Architect, Engineer, Designer, Contractor, Owner and Lessee to research the applicability of the ADA requirements for the structure. Clarify construction of Base Connector SAGO -0032, Beam Connector SAGO -0031 and Beam Connector SAGO -0030. Identify and provide calculations for all welds. 4. Glue Laminated post SAGO -0007 shall be pressure treated or manufactured from wood of natural resistance to decay. Section 2306.12 OSSC. Clarify the materials and/or method for compliance with the referenced code section. 5. The calculations reference the facia acting as a tension ring to resist lateral thrust. See calculations sheet 1. Provide calculation to support the 2 x 12 Fir solution. 6. Identify, with calculations, all connectors to attach facia to construct a continuous tension ring. Please provide an item by item response. When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal.
