at served the house that was demolished was removed with the placement of the 8" PVC sewer line
that was extended up 96th Street.

I spoke with Chad Mitchell today about the correction on the demo permit, that verificatio that the lateral
was capped was required. Chad explained that the old building sewer and lateral were both removed
entirely, the opening to the manhole enlarged, and the new line for the subdivision installed where the old
lateral to the house had been.
Makes sense to me ... but since that was a Subdivision installation, we didn't inspect the sewer line
installation or the connection to the manhole. Can you or someone else in Engineering confirm that the
new lateral has taken the place of the old in the same manhole?
If so, please let me know and I'll sign off on the permit, considering that it would have been a little silly to
cap the old line just to let us see it before pulling the old line out and installing the new, larger one.
