RE: Highland Hills Street Tree
Dear Mr. Prager,
Washington County approved Acer Rubrum 'Red Sunset' as the street tree for the Tigard Highland Hills subdivision. I
would like to plant a different tree from Washington County's street tree list — Acer platanoides columnare 'Columnar
Norway'. The Red Sunset's mature width of 35' is too wide for the space available in the front yards of this subdivision.
You indicated from our conversation that a substitution would be acceptable to you, if the tree was on the Washington
County recommended list. You also requested written notification of the change.
Lot #7 shows two street trees on the street tree layout. One of the trees is located within a few feet of a light pole. I am
deleting one of the two trees from this lot to satisfy the City of Tigard's recommendation that street trees be 25' away
from light poles.
If you have and questions or concerns about the change in the street tree, please contact me.
