Mr. Shore:
We present a suznan uy of the installation and loading of the 7 anchors underpinning the
chimney corner house The property is located at 16300 Southwest Copper Creek
Drive. in Portland, Oregon.
The contractor LZE Inc. installed 2, A. B. Chance helical anchors to support the chimney
and 5 A_B Chance'wheal anchors to support the house. The underpinning anchors
included 7, 8 "- 10 "•.12" helix anchors. The 7 underpinning anchors were installed to depths
of 10 and 15 feet. ;'ill of the anchors were installed in accordance with the
recommendations presented in our 3/30/04 "Geotechnical Evaluation" The 7 anchors were
installed based on the manufacturer's torque /vertical capacity correlation to carry 40,000
pounds- The chimney in the house were lifted 3/4" to 2 -3/4 "depending on location.
