The submitted plans are approved subject to the following. 1. Ductwork shall be supported in accordance with Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, Inc. (SMACNA) 2. The building or structure shall not be weakened by the installation of mechanical systems. Where floors, walls, ceilings or any other portion of the building or structure are required to be altered or replaced in the process of installing or repairing any system, the building or structure shall be left in a safe structural condition in accordance with the Building Code. 302 OMSC 3. The cutting, notching and boring of framing members shall comply with OMSC Sections 302.3.1 through 302.5.3. 4. Appliances shall be accessible for inspection, service, repair or replacement without removal of permanent construction. 306.1 OMSC 5. Manufacturer's installation instructions shall be available on the jobsite at the time of inspection. 304.1 OMSC 6. Smoke detectors shall be installed in return air systems with a design capacity greater than 2000 cfm. Upon activation, the smoke detector shall shut down the air distribution system. Smoke detectors shall be connected to a fire alarm system and shall activate an audible and visible alarm at a constantly attended location. 606.2, 606.4 & 606.4.1 OMSC 10. Mercury Thermostats. The State of Oregon prohibits the installation of thermostats that contain mercury in commercial and residential buildings. "In accordance with ORS 455.355, the disposal of thermostats that contain mercury shall be in accordance ' with programs established by thermostat manufacturers, their representative or distributor, or by delivery to sites that will ensure that the mercury does not become part of the solid waste stream or wastewater." Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors throughout all phases of construction. 106.4.2 OSSC Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new buildings in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road fronting the property. , When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal.
