Stair nosings shall be flush and rounded to a radius of 1/2 inch maximum. Risers shall be sloped, or the underside, of the nosing shall have an angle of not less than 60 degrees from the horizontal. Nosings shall project no more than 1 -1/2 inches. (1109.8.3) 13. Hot water and drain pipes exposed under lavatories or sinks shall be insulated or otherwise covered. The design of the roof trusses (tile roof) was not submitted with the plans and is not included in this plan review. Roof trusses are re- quired to be designed by an Oregon registered engineer or architect. When the truss supplier is selected, submit the structural drawings and design calculations for review to the City. 17. Enclosed attics and enclosed rafter spaces formed where ceilings are applied directly to the underside of roof rafters shall have cross ventilation for each separate space. The net free ventilating area shall be not less than 1/150 of the area of the space ventilated. Exception: The area may be 1/300 of the area of the space ventilated provided 50% of the required ventilating area is provided by ventilators located in the upper portion of the space to be ventilated at least 3 feet above eave or cornice vents with the balance of the required ventilation provided by eave or cornice vents.
