5/8/03: GeoPacific Engineering Geologist, Paul A. Crenna, visited the project
site to observe removal of old pool at northwest corner of site. All pool
concrete debris has been removed and 5 to 8 foot deep excavation is complete.
Subgrade consists of stiff, navtive clayey silt soil that is suitable for
support or engineered backfill.
5/9/03: GeoPacific Engineering Geologist, Pau]. A. Crenna, visited the project
site to observe compaction of backfill in swimming pool excavation at northwest
corner of site. Observed compaction of two 8 inch lifts with IR self - porpelled
4 foot diameter drum. Roller comapation fill at +3 is compacted to a firm,
unyielding state. Fill consists of 3/4 " -0 reject from Tigard Sand & Gravel.
