Foundation Piers Behind Rear Garage Wall

Dear Blake:
This letter is in regards to the addition of foundation piers behind the rear garage wall. Original
design indicated a single pier with 8' -0" spans on each side of the pier. As constructed, two piers
were used in place of the one originally specified to create spans of 4' -0 ", 6' -8 ", and 5' -4" for a
total of 16' -0 ". Since the added pier reduced the span on the floor beams and no
additional loads are added from above, the added foundation pier and new layout is
okay. See attached revised plan for new layout.
