CTI tested sheathing truss OSB and bottom cord at each location of the roof underside. CTI also checked moisture in wall sheathing and studs at north, south, east, west and SW angled wall. CTI used a J- 2000 Moisture Meter to take readings. The air temperature was 45° F and the humidity was 69 %. Temperature of materials was between 47° F and 46° F. See field check list for locations and moisture content %. Our reports pertain to the material tested/inspected only. Readings taken under these conditions should be considered qualitative or semiquantitative at best. Even if Conductance meters with insulated pins are used, accuracy could only be confirmed through direct MC determination (for example, Test Methods D 4442). N R W ood w /Adhesives Adhesives can cause abnormally high readings in reconstituted wood products. Readings taken on these products should be considered qualitative or semiquantitative, unless the particular meter used is calibrated to the particular product being tested. CTI has not calibrated its meters to any reconstituded materials. C onductance Meter limitations 1) The range of moisture contents that can be detected with a conductance meter, is from a minimum of 6 or 7 % MC to a maximum of 25 to 27 % MC (nominal value of the fiber saturation point). Meter scales extend above this limit only to permit temperature corrections of moisture contents up to the fiber saturation point; numbers above that point are not to implied to be reliable. 2) If drift was noted during testing, the highest numbers noted were reported per ASTM D7438 (X2) 3) If readings are believed to be abnormal, and upon request, an additional test can be performed to determine `normal' moisture gradient in the material tested. D ielectric Meter limitations 1) The normal range of moisture sensing in dielectric meters is from 0 % to fiber saturation point Semi - quantitative readings above fiber saturation point are possible with the dielectric meter. 2) Dielectric meters are subject to `read- through'. Surrounding materials can have a major impact on the numbers obtained. Numbers reported are for the as- described conditions and if surrounding materials are undetermined, the accuracy of the numbers obtained cannot be deemed accurate. 3) Warped members were measured from both sides when possible and the higher number reported.
