Dan,
Charter Mechanical received the plan review comments letter that you sent us on 4/20/11.
We offer the following additional information to address the two action items that required
follow -up.
Item #1: Please see our "Attachment #1" that includes Uponor product literature for the PEX
tubing we plan to use for our radiant slab system. You will note that this product has ASTM
F877 approval ratings as required by chapter 12 of the mechanical code.
Item #2: We have provided two sets of supporting documents to address the plan review
comment. The first set of documents is tagged as "Attachment #2" and it contains 25 -pages
engineering drawings and calculations by CIDA Architects that demonstrates that the
existing roof structure can support the new roof top air handling units with some additional
support members that will be installed. I believe the information in "attachment #2" was
previously submitted to the City of Tigard with the Building Permit. The second set of
documents is tagged as "Attachment #3" and contains 35 -pages the requested seismic
calculations and details for lateral and vertical loads for all HVAC equipment weighing
greater than 400 Ibs, prepared by Worth Technical Services.
